Olivia Hicks, ND
Executive Director, Naturopathic Doctor
Dr. Olivia Hicks (formerly Dr. Giguere) is a naturopathic physician and licensed Oregon psilocybin facilitator, specializing in holistic mental health care and psychedelic-assisted therapy. She holds a bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Lewis & Clark College and earned her naturopathic medical degree from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Hicks has found that psychedelics, including ketamine and psilocybin, offer profound pathways for emotional and psychological healing. Her own transformative experiences with these medicines have deeply shaped her approach to care, guiding her belief in the power of psychedelic medicine to heal not just the body, but the mind and spirit. Through this lens, she helps clients navigate the challenging yet rewarding process of integrating these experiences into their daily lives.
In her practice, Dr. Hicks combines her expertise in herbal medicine, nutrition, craniosacral therapy, and counseling to foster whole-person healing. She offers medical consultations for individuals exploring psychedelics, ensuring an approach rooted in safety, education, and trust. Her work is driven by a deep respect for the body’s inherent wisdom and its ability to return to balance, particularly when supported by the transformative potential of psychedelic medicine.
Dr. Hicks also utilizes somatic dialogue and craniosacral therapy to address psychosomatic pain, guiding clients to release trapped emotions and restore nervous system regulation. Her mission is to empower individuals to reclaim their mental, emotional, and spiritual health through thoughtful, integrative care

Matthew Hicks, ND, MSIMR
President, Naturopathic Doctor
Dr. Hicks is a post-doctoral fellow at Oregon Health and Science University and the National University of Naturopathic Medicine. He is not currently accepting new patients.
After completing his bachelor's in liberal arts from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Matthew found his way to the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon where he completed a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a Master of Science in Integrative Medical Research. He then completed an integrative mental health residency before going into private practice.
He has also completed a certificate in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy at the California Institute of Integral Studies.
He is a licensed Oregon psilocybin facilitator.
His therapeutic approaches include a blending of Buddhist psychology, Internal Family Systems, and Hakomi (mindfulness-based somatic psychotherapy). He incorporates diet, exercise, meditation, herbs, supplements, and when necessary medication management into his treatment plans. He offers psychedelic integration work and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.

Alexis Fernandez, DACM, L.Ac
Clinic Director, Doctor of Chinese Medicine
Dr. Alexis Fernandez is a doctor of Chinese Medicine, licensed acupuncturist, and board certified herbalist. A firm believer in the body’s ability to heal itself, Dr. Fernandez’s approach is to identify and remove obstacles that hinder this process while nourishing the body’s vital energy. He uses a combination of acupuncture, herbal medicine, and patient education to empower individuals to achieve greater harmony and wellness.
Originally from Miami, Florida, Dr. Fernandez earned his Bachelor of Science in Health Science from the University of Miami, a Master of Science in Classical Chinese Medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon, and a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health Science.
His professional journey has been shaped by his work in integrative primary care, where he learned to blend the best of Eastern and Western medicine in a collaborative approach to healthcare. A lifelong learner, Dr. Fernandez is dedicated to continually researching new treatment modalities to provide the highest level of care to his patients.
Dr. Fernandez specializes in gastrointestinal health, mental health, dermatology, and LGBTQ+ health, and is passionate about helping individuals from all walks of life achieve their fullest potential.

Greg Robillard, LMFT
Psychotherapist
Greg is a licensed marriage and family therapist offering ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. He provides EMDR and trauma informed care to adults and adolescents. He is adjunct faculty at Lewis and Clark College and Synaptic's Entheogenic Medicine Training Program where is also a member of the board of directors.
Greg is a licensed Oregon psilocybin facilitator.

Katherine Souza, ND, L.Ac
Naturopathic Doctor, Acupuncturist
Dr Souza is an integrative physician and teacher with a background in naturopathic and Chinese medicine, dedicated to empowering patients on their journey to health. Their approach is deeply patient-centered, focusing on making healthcare accessible and personalized. She enjoys helping people navigate the healthcare system, teaching them about their bodies, and providing alternatives to conventional medicine. Dr. Souza blends diverse modalities—including counseling, vitamins, herbs, ketamine therapy, medications, and the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP). They also incorporate spirituality into their practice, recognizing the vital connection between mind, body, and spirit. In her free time, she enjoys soccer, dancing, and spending time with loved ones.

Monica Toth, ND
Naturopathic Doctor
Dr. Toth provides naturopathic care with an emphasis of ensuring her patients receive comprehensive care. She believes healthcare should be equitable, individualized, and inclusive, and she prioritizes creating a comfortable space for her patients. This helps her understand and support each person in each own’s journey to better health.
She aims to support her patients through therapeutic nutrition, botanical medicine, nutraceuticals, homeopathy, physical medicine, and medication management. Dr. Toth finds the most valuable way to address and resolve underlying issues is by working as a team with her patients, helping them become self-sufficient in their health needs. She believes health is about feeling at home in your body and living your most fulfilled life, free from the hindrances of illness.
During her clinical education, she completed rotations in primary care, community medicine, transgender care, holistic mental health, addiction, and minor surgery. She also completed external rotations in primary care for underserved populations, transgender care, and cardiovascular medicine. During her residency, Dr. Toth trained in primary care and hormone replacement therapy.
Dr. Toth works with a variety of conditions and aspects of health, including but not limited to hypertension, diabetes, chronic stress, fatigue, women’s health, gender-affirming care, hypothyroidism, adrenal fatigue, endocrine disorders, gastrointestinal issues, hormone imbalances, depression, anxiety, and preventative medicine.
In her free time, Dr. Toth enjoys exploring the beautiful scenery of the Pacific Northwest, playing music, experimenting with cooking, or biking around the city.

Tahlia Harrison, LMFT
Psychotherapist
Tahlia is a Marriage and Family Therapist who provides supportive, trauma-informed individual and relational therapy. She also completed a Master of Science in Bioethics and Science Policy from Duke University and is currently a PhD candidate under the mentorship of Monica Williams. She serves as treasurer of the board of directors for Synaptic and oversees our ethics and equity curriculum.

Chris Humphreys, RCA, MA, MS
Psychotherapist
Chris Humphreys is a registered professional counselor with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists. He has a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Master’s Degree in Criminology. He is trained in EMDR and several other evidence based trauma interventions. Chris specializes in working with first responders and veterans on issues related to posttraumatic stress injury, depression, grief, anxiety, and burnout.
