Psilocybin Facilitation
Psilocybin facilitation is offered through Oregon State's regulated Psilocybin Services Program. Our naturopathic doctors serve as clinical facilitators, incorporating medical evaluations and personalized care into guided psilocybin experiences to support each individual’s safety and well-being.
Psilocybin may help individuals explore emotional challenges, gain new perspectives, and develop greater self-awareness. Our holistic approach emphasizes creating a safe, supportive environment that fosters resilience, emotional well-being, and meaningful personal growth.
*Psilocybin Sliding Scale: The cost of psilocybin facilitation is based on annual household income:

No proof of income is required.
**Service Center Room Fees: A room at a licensed service center must be rented for the day of your psilocybin experience. Most rooms cost $600 Monday through Thursday and $700 Friday through Sunday. The largest room costs $700 during the week and $800 on weekends. For your convenience, we can include the service center fee in your invoice, or you may pay the fee directly to Chariot.
***Mushrooms: The cost of mushrooms is paid directly to the service center as a flat fee on the day of your administration session.
Payment & Billing: Synaptic Institute visits are paid per visit through our invoice system in Charm EHR. Superbills for eligible visits with CPT codes are available upon request if you wish to submit them to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Facilitation appointments are not considered confirmed until the invoice has been paid.
Cancelation Policy: Cancellations made more than 14 days before the psilocybin session will not incur a cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than two weeks before the session are subject to a 20% cancellation fee, while cancellations within 48 hours of the session are non-refundable. In extenuating circumstances, such as illness, the facilitator may offer credit toward a rescheduled session at their sole discretion.

Insurance Coverage
Synaptic Institute accepts insurance for Naturopathic Medicine and Chinese Medicine. Coverage varies depending on your provider, so we encourage you to visit our Provider Page to see which practitioners accept which insurance plans.
When requesting an appointment, you will be asked to enter your insurance information. Your appointment request will not be accepted until we can verify your insurance. We also recommend that you verify with your insurance provider whether your plan covers the services you are seeking. Not all services we offer may be covered by insurance. Self Pay and Time of Service Discounts
Synaptic is committed to making holistic healthcare accessible and transparent for all patients. To support individuals who do not have insurance or choose to pay out-of-pocket, we offer a Time-of-Service (TOS) Discount* on our standard rates.
This discount applies to naturopathic medicine, Chinese medicine (acupuncture and herbal consultations), and bodywork services when payment is made in full at the time of service.
Who Qualifies for the Time-of-Service Discount?
This discount is available to:
✔️ Patients who do not have health insurance and pay out-of-pocket.
✔️ Patients who have insurance but choose not to submit a claim for their visit.
✔️ Patients paying for services that are not covered by insurance.
Why Do We Offer a Time-of-Service Discount?
Processing insurance claims requires additional administrative costs and time. When patients pay at the time of service, we pass those savings on by offering a reduced rate.
