Insurance Coverage
Synaptic Institute accepts insurance for naturopathic medicine and Chinese medicine. Coverage varies depending on your provider, so we encourage you to visit our Provider Page to see which practitioners accept which insurance plans.
When requesting an appointment, you will be asked to enter your insurance information. Your appointment request will not be accepted until we can verify your insurance. We also recommend that you verify with your insurance provider whether your plan covers the services you are seeking. Not all services we offer may be covered by insurance. Self Pay and Time of Service Discounts
Synaptic is committed to making holistic healthcare accessible and transparent for all patients. To support individuals who do not have insurance or choose to pay out-of-pocket, we offer a Time-of-Service (TOS) Discount* on our standard rates.
This discount applies to naturopathic medicine, Chinese medicine (acupuncture and herbal consultations), and bodywork services when payment is made in full at the time of service.
Who Qualifies for the Time-of-Service Discount?
This discount is available to:
✔️ Patients who do not have health insurance and pay out-of-pocket.
✔️ Patients who have insurance but choose not to submit a claim for their visit.
✔️ Patients paying for services that are not covered by insurance.
Why Do We Offer a Time-of-Service Discount?
Processing insurance claims requires additional administrative costs and time. When patients pay at the time of service, we pass those savings on by offering a reduced rate.
